That'll teach HIM not to obstruct justice and commit treason again!
Here's the story, though it's not really hard to find.
Ugh... you know, we all knew it would happen, but it's just so depressing that our ultimate cynicism about this administration turned out to be right once again. I wonder if Bush's popularity rating will drop into the teens before he's done.

I was also hoping that this would at least give us the benefit of Bush's numbers dropping even further...until I saw that 35% of Republicans thought that this commute was a good idea and they want a full pardon. I think that last 25 to 30 per cent are not going to let go of Bush. Short of a blow job in the oval office, I think Bush is golden in their eyes.
Maybe the immigration issue will get his basey base to collapse...
mojo,
I have not visited for awhile but see you have added a number of posts since. Good for you. Of course I disagree with most of it, but I find reading things I disagree with more interesting than those I agree with so I will keep coming back. As you will see in my last post I explain why I have not been posting much.
As for the Libby commutation, I think Bush's numbers may go lower - but because he did not pardon Libby. Conservatives have such an aversion for appeasing compromise. I do think immigration will hurt Bush's numbers. However, the clear distinction between Bush's immigration position and the next GOP nominee will be just enough to keep said nominee from being linked to Bush. I am beginning to see a Rovian tactic to help the next GOP candidate.
